For an elegant surprise, sample this refined martini-inspired drink. It’s light, aromatic and sippable, and matches wonderfully with parmesan chunks.

Sake Martini

Makes a single portion

30ml gin – opt for a crisp gin variety

15ml Lillet Blanc – a light, herbal fortified wine

15ml sake – preferably a delicate, balanced sake

Measure the gin, Lillet Blanc and sake into a shaker, include a generous scoop of ice and stir for 30 seconds to chill well. Strain into a well-chilled martini glass and serve.
